Jen Padellaro, Owner:  Jen founded JP Dance Academy in 2005, where she is the owner and primary instructor.  She also teaches for the Brighton Town Recreation program.  Jen has been teaching dance full-time for 7 years.  She has taught at another Rochester area studio for 5 years, where she performed and choreographed for a dance company.

Jen has a Bachelor of Science in Dance and Accounting from SUNY Brockport where her dance studies included modern, ballet, Irish, choreography, improvisation, Laban movement analysis, and music classes.  She studied with James Payton, Santo Giglio, Kista Tucker, Juanita Suarez and Eddie Murphy.

She has over 28 years of dance experience as well as 8 years of full-time teaching experience.  She has studied locally at La Danse Workshop, Expressions of Dance by Lisa, and Park Avenue Dance Company.

Karen Servas, Instructor:  Karen is formally a dancer for Holland America Cruise Lines. She received her early training from Performance Plus Dance and School of the Arts.  Karen was a May 2005 graduate from the University at Buffalo with a B.F.A degree in Dance. While at the University at Buffalo she was a member of the Zodiaque Dance Company. She is currently the choreographer & one of the dancers for the Rochester Raiders Arena Football Team.  Karen is primarily teaching hip hop, but is experienced in ballet, lyrical, modern, jazz, acrobatics, and pas de deux.  She has 17 years of dance experience.  Karen is our newest staff member, and we're excited to have her join us!

Bill Beideck, Business Manager: Bill has a Bachelor of Science in Health/Wellness from Buffalo State College. He has several years of managerial and business experience. He is responsible for all marketing and business operations for JP Dance Academy.

Carol Rogers, Receptionist: Carol volunteers as our receptionist several nights of the week. She processes payments and answers inquiries about almost anything.

Jessie Soto, Assistant Teacher/Demonstrator:  At age 16, Jessie has been dancing for close to 11 years.  She has been with JP Dance Academy since July 2007.  She studies many forms of dance including ballet, lyrical, tap, jazz and musical theater.  Her favorite dance style is lyrical, and she enjoys playing soccer.

Grace Trumbull, Assistant Teacher/Demonstrator:  Grace is 15 years old and has been dancing for 6 years.  She has been dancing with JP Dance Academy since it's birth in September 2005.  Grace's favorite dance style is tap, and she enjoys playing the piano and singing as well.

Lauren Watt, Assistant Teacher/Demonstrator:  Lauren is 14 years old and has 11 years of dance experience.  She has been with JP Dance Academy since it's birth in September 2005.  Lauren studies many dance styles including ballet, lyrical, modern, tap, jazz and musical theater.  Her favorite style is jazz and she is also a cheerleader for the Rush Henrietta Comets. 

Kecia Boncek, Substitute Teacher:  Kecia has 23 years of dance experience.  She began her studies at American Academy of Ballet in Williamsville, NY and continued at SUNY Geneseo, where she received a Bachelor of Art degree in Psychology.  Her performance credits include the SUNY Geneseo Dance Ensemble, Pittsburgh Ballet Company, and Cobblestone Arts Center.  She has also taught classes at Valley School of Dance in Geneso, NY.  Kecia continues to take classes at JP Dance Academy and has just completed her Masters in School Psychology and Deafness at R.I.T.
